With only a few days to go for the February 20th, it seems like Sony has decided to give its marketing strategy an aggressive approach. Using Google AdWords the Japanese giant is hyping its upcoming Playstation event while mocking Nintendo.
The ad, which you can see below, criticizes Nintendo’s perceived lack of innovation and over reliance on big franchises, like Mario, to push software and hardware sales. Sony asks gamers to “Step up to Playstation 2/20″ unless they get excited with announcements of “another Mario game”
Personally I dislike this kind of trash-talk marketing but with only two days separating us from February 20th, we won’t have to wait much longer to see what Sony is up to.
